Persian-speakers of Afghanistan make up about 40-50% of the population in the country, where Persian language is one of the official languages besides the other which is Pashto. The Persian language is the most widely used language of the country, spoken by around 80% of the population, while Pashto is spoken and understood by around 35% of the population, mostly native Pashtu-speaker.
